busy weeks not racing
February 23, 2009 by rrrrickWe certainly have been busy the last couple of weeks even without racing. We rebuilt the engine in Tim’s racecar and got some small things fixed on my car so we should be ready to race on Saturday 2-28-09
Sunday my Dad and I will be heading to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Nascar Shelby 427 race

So, our racing Saturday didn’t go as well as we had wanted, So we loaded up and headed back to Vegas.
Our normal stop in Searchlight NV however brought some excitement. While Tim, Rich and I waited for the others to get done in the store an incredible WHOOSHING noise erupted from Tim’s truck. Water and steam spewed fourth in a great display causing people from the gas pumps to come over and ask “what the heck was that?”. “That” it seems was Tim’s trucks radiator bursting at the seam. So, we parked the truck in the corner of the parking lot and everyone piled into my truck fr the ride home.
On Sunday we started looking for a replacement radiator. Of course none of the used parts places in town had any, so it was decided that Tim would get his fixed on Monday so we headed to searchlight and brought back his trailer with the racecar and tools.
